Who We Are...

The Le Sueur Area United Way is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the betterment of our local community and our area.  86 cents of every dollar collected goes to directly support local agencies and organiztions that provide services to local people.  These groups touch the lives of so many and are a vital part of our community life.  The Le Sueur Area United Way Board of Directors--your friends and neighbors--work to raise funds, and identify the best, most-efficient uses for those precious dollars.

Our 2009 Board of Directors:
Todd Redmann, President,   Michele Steiger, Vice President,   Randy Baum, Susan Felmlee, Shirley Monahan, Nyla Probst, Teresa Tebbe, Betsy Breaker, Chad Olness, Jerry Johnson, Marge Maetzold, Paul Malchow, Kathy Lang, Barb Lindgren, Jeanne Logelin, Cheryl Amundson, Rachel Bjork, Ted Klimek

What We Do...
Each year, Le Sueur Area United Way recieves many funding requests from worthy organizations; far more than we can possibly meet with our limited resources.  The dollars we receive each year from our generous donors are carefully spent on those programs that have the greatest local impact.

Funding Guidelines and Applications

There are two options for those seeking funds from the Le Sueur Area United Way.  To be considered for "Line-Item" funding, organizations must submit a full application and financial disclosure information.  This process takes place approximately one year in advance of disbursement of funds to succesful applicants.  To respond to more immediate, or unforseen financial needs, the Le Sueur Area United Way has a "Special Community Projects Fund."  Application for these funds are normally reviewed and acted upon within 60 days and grants have a $500 maximum.
